Approximate Store Count means what we have in stock at the moment that is available to ship to you today.  It is updated at least once a week so if the amount shown is super close to what you need call us for an exact count.
Future  Availability is based upon the history of that pattern since 1997.  This information is not written in stone it's based on our own observations of the manufactures past behavior concerning this specific pattern.
 Name:   10Bam is the name of the pattern, it's order number.  If it starts with a number as in this case a 10 than the fabric is a non-upholstery grade. Each number corresponds to a background color - hence 10 means black to us. sometimes these names are changed.
Check desired item than click buy When you are ready to order be sure to check which item you want either the yardage or just a sample of the yardge. After that click the BUY button to follow through.
Colors Available The background colors this pattern is available in. The blue font means that that is the pattern you are currently viewing.
Discounts not offered on samples or sale items We discount our fabrics during slow times and when it gets busy again we often do not get a chance to go back and raise the prices up again. If you have a discount card and the fabric is lower than our usual price than we will give you the larger discount but not a double discount.

Note: There are several Next Fabric  links per BIG Picture Page.  Each one will bring you to a different area on the next page of fabric.  If you prefer to see the fabric via the overall photo than use the one that is located near that image. The detailed picture rotation is located just below the detailed photo. The detailed photo is a scanned in view so the colors are most correct. In the overall view image you are dependant upon our unskilled photography attempts so we advise you just use it as a layout view.

How do I change the quantity button when I am on the ordering page in the shopping cart?

Once you click the buy button on any of the BIG Picture pages you will automatically be taken to the shopping cart.  It will show a picture of the item you ordered with the default set at the number one. To change the quantity, highlight the number one and delete it replacing it with the quantity you desire. Then (here is the important part) click the "Change" button that is shown just below the quantity box. The page will refresh displaying the new quantity.

Do you have a minimum order yardage-wise?

We have a one yard minimum.

Can you get a pattern that I saw last year?

Sorry, most of the non-upholstery grade fabrics are not reissued its important to purchase what you love when you see it.

What is the difference between crepe & Nubby textured Upholstery Fabrics?

The nubby fabric has twisted threads causing a nubby texture. The crepe textured barkcloth threads are not twisted so the nubby effect is not visible.

How do you rotate the fabrics to see each one?

The BIG Pictures will take you through every fabric pattern we offer when you click on the "Next Fabric" hyperlink. If you are wanting to view only specific types of fabric use the menu column on the right to start the process at the beginning

I tried calling and no one answered the phone, what's up with that?

We are always available via: Email

If we aren't answering the phone it could be one of a few things:  We are six hours behind the East coast and three hours behind the West coast.  We may be closed.

We are super busy and just can't get to the phone at that time. Please leave a message, we'll call you back soon. better tell us where you are calling from so we don't wake you up. Also please say your phone number slowly and clearly.

Okay, we confess sometimes we just dig out for a few days for some R & R (once a month.)  We usually head up to the North Shore and spend a few days at the
beach house It's Hawaii after all and we'd like to enjoy it ourselves sometimes.

Yes we do, just click on the word specials to see what we have happening currently. Some of the patterns have been reduced but are unadvertised.  The prices are shown mid-way down the BIG Pictures pages. Our sales are not always timed to holidays.

Can you tell me how much I need for a specific project?

We can guess but we are not professional sewers. (For folks buying custom curtains or gift shop items  we would contact our seamstress.) We can supply you with the information the experts will need in order to tell you what to order for your specific project. How can I determine shipping costs?

Shipping is based on weight and location. Add what you want to price to your shopping cart by clicking the buy buttons at the bottom of the "BIG Pictures" pages.  You'll see the the shipping cost at the bottom of that page.  Be sure to use the correct shipping option. Don't worry you won't be charged unless you add your credit card number and click the submit button a couple pages latter.

Should I order samples first?

We recommend you purchase samples first if you are trying to match a specific color. If you are smitten with all of them, why bother?

What is the average cost per yard?

Average cost for non-upholstery fabrics is  between $9.00 - $15.00 per yard and $30.00 for upholstery grade fabrics.

Is there a way view all color ways at once?

Choosing "ALL colors" will sort fabrics by background colors. 

Do you have a return policy?
The quick reply is "does your local fabric shop?"  After all the product has been cut to your specifications. Still we hope to satisfy everyone so we can maybe be budged.  Here's the deal If you ask us to cut a fabric to your specifications and we do its yours.  If we cut it and it has not been shipped out and it is not on sale and you change your mind than we offer a store credit and charge a $20.00 restocking fee. If the fabric has been shipped and you change your mind it's yours. (It must be for a store credit. ) We have been known to budge on this though so give us a call and talk to us.  You will be held responsible for paying a restocking fee,  the return shipping and the new shipping on the second product that you choose.  If you still change your mind you're out of luck.  It is always best to order samples first. Of course all these rules go out the window if we are at fault.

Has the fabrics been given an abrasion Test?

The majority of our fabric is made by the same manufacturer so the test was run on our upholstery grade fabrics made by them. The results are as follows:

We tested up to 15,000 cycles and the fabric passed.

Heavy to Med. Duty - 9,001 to 15,000 cycled - PASS

Has the fabric been treated?

Our Bark Crepe, Upholstery Twill and Nubby upholstery grade fabric has been treated with a Teflon finish.  This makes it water and stain resistant and provides a flame retardant.

Our upholstery grade Canvas has been treated with a Scotch Guard finish which makes it water and stain resistant. It is not fade proof therefore it is not considered and indoor/outdoor fabric.

Do you ever have contests?

We tried this- not much participation though.
